Zenfinder Yoga Healing Clinic is located right on Queen St. in the heart of the Beaches. We have set out to create a peaceful sanctuary that, at the heart, aims to be a community of people who support each other. We believe yoga should make you feel good and should not be another place to be hard on yourself. It is about learning, acceptance and non-judgement and last, but not least patience.

Lauren Taylor White is a lead teacher at Zenfinder. She has deep passion for yoga because she believes it can help heel and release the emotions we store in our bodies. Her motto is go with the flow and accept life for the beauty it has to offer in whatever form it is coming to you. From California, she has made Toronto her home with her Canadian husband. She did her teacher training in traditional Ashtanga Yoga at Downward Dog with Diane Bruni and Ron Reid. She is also a trained Raw Food Chef, Gluten-Free and Ayurveda Chef and has studied at the Living Light Raw Food Culinary School . She is also in ongoing training in Ayurveda at the California College of Ayurveda. She first got introduced to yoga through her friend Anaswara who teaches at Power Yoga in Los Angeles with Bryan Kest and also found a deep interest in Transendental Meditation from classes with Thom Knowles in LA. Her goal in life is to help heal people through yoga, healthy food and relaxation techniques. Prior to pursuing a path that is aimed at helping people achieve wellness, she did her undergrad at UC Berkeley and has her Masters of Architecture from the University of London, England. She worked on many buildings that are currenlty built around the world including the AGO Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, Beijing Airport, West Kowloon Development, China, among others. It was through the 90 hour weeks and impact working on the computer that gave her a sense of un-ending compassion for the human condition and the importance of wellness. Health and strength are the most important things we can strive for in our lives that will reward us in the future, not wealth and the pursuit of material pleasure.

Sarah Ismail is a lead teacher at Zenfinder YOGASPA. She began her practice in yoga, while attending McGill University for Social Studies in Medicine. The benefits of practice went beyond the physical and yoga quickly became a passion in her life. During this time, Sarah realized that while she wanted to study and practice natural medicine, yoga would be an excellent means for clients to make the mental and physical connection. Sarah has recently completed her Ashtanga yoga teacher certification at Downward Dog, here in Toronto. She aspires to show and teach people the benefits of yoga that she has come to discover for herself. Sarah is also currently pursuing a diploma in homeopathic medicine at the Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicine, which she hopes to add to a very holistic practice of natural health.

He has also studied jazz guitar that the Jazz School in Berkeley, CA. Lounge and downtempo are his favorite types of music to spin, but he mixes it up for the GrooveYoga class.
ZENFINDER STUDIO MISSION STATEMENT
If you are new to yoga, we are perfect because we will really take the extra effort to do postural analysis of you and point out your strengths. If you are a habitual practicer, we provide an amazing place to get a high intensity of work out and couple the experience with the other 7 limbs of yoga (asana, or postures are only one limb of the 8 limbs of yoga). We help all of our guests feel comfortable, feel supported, we track your progress and will take special care of you.
We strive to provide a high level of expertise in our training, as well as pride ourselves on our dedication to personal attention and customization. No “body” is the same. We all store emotions and pain in our tissue. We believe that these things surface through the practice of yoga and need to be dealt with through other means so they can be released. This can be through meditation, counseling, group discussion, Ayurvedic teachings, massage and body work as well as skin treatments. Many people don’t have access to all of these types of experiences because they can add up. We have done something unique. We we have coupled these services with our yoga classes in a group setting so they are more accessible to people.
Our hope is that we provide a great service at a very affordable price so people are able to come on a regular basis. This helps people to establish new routines because they have an everyday support network that they can rely on to keep them motivated. We like to think of ourselves as the whole enchilada of the art of healing the body, mind and spirit.
